  • Wah Lee Industrial announced its July 2017 unaudited consolidated sales of NT$3,543M

August 8, 2017  Wah Lee Industrial Corp. (3010.TT) reported its July 2017 unaudited consolidated sales of NT$3,543M, a 3.87% growth from the same period last year.  Cumulative 2017 Jan.-July consolidated sales was NT$22,847M and grew by 1.77%, compared to the same period last year.

In recent years, Taiwanese PCB (Printed Circuit Board) industry has been under the competition pressure from China.  However, Taiwanese PCB makers still enjoy a leading role because of their focus on high-end products, e.g. HDI, IC substrate, and Flexible PCB.  The highly aspired iPhone 8 this year is expected to use the most advanced technology in IC packaging and has prompted Taiwanese PCB makers associated with the businesses to invest heavily in Substrate-Like PCB (SLP) capacities and to enjoy huge growth potentials in the next few years.

Wah Lee has been cultivating in the PCB industry for more than 40 years.  The company has been the agent for leading Japanese makers in PCB raw materials, equipment, and spare parts and has helped Taiwanese PCB customers to upgrade in technology.  It has also reached out to the China market together with the customers.  The most representative PCB materials include: CCL (Copper Clad Laminate), conductive silver paste, dry film in etching process, and release film.

Take CCL for example, Wah Lee’s CCL product has great performance in high frequency and low electricty consumption.  As Wah Lee’s PCB customers received orders from the world class network server maker and the leading CPU IDM, Wah Lee’s CCL sales revenue has grown significantly on the year on year basis and is expected to keep the growth momentum till the end of this year.  The Substrate-Like PCB (SLP) to be used in iPhone 8 manufacturing process is beginning to take off and Wah Lee’s critical raw material, Dry Film, for the SLP process is also ramping up together with customers’ improving yield rate.  Under this advantage, Wah Lee’s material sales will achieve higher targets.
