January 9, 2017 Wah Lee Industrial Corp. (3010.TT) announced its December 2016 unaudited consolidated sales of NT$3,710M, which was an increase of 4.1% from last month and an increase of 1.2% from the same period of last year. 2016 full-year consolidated sales posted a minor decrease of 1.25% compared to the same period last year and resulted in NT$39,542M.
Wah Lee’s December consolidated sales still benefited from the steady growth momentum in the C/C and Semiconductor industries; FPD and Green Energy sectors were also in the recovery. High-end engineering plastics have more diversified applications, including new USB Type C connectors and DDR4 memory sockets, as well as emerging demands from food packaging and medical consumables. C/C grew by 8% YoY in 2016. Semiconductor benefited from the increasing demand from foundry customer’s advanced manufacturing processes, using Wah Lee’s high-end electronic grade chemicals such as Photoresists and CMP slurry. Semi grew by 11% YoY in 2016.
